Tony has his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Illinois. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Central and Southern federal court Districts of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a former Special Assistant Attorney General for eminent domain. He is recognized in Leading Lawyers.
Tony is also very active in the community. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Midland States Bank and Midland States Bancorp, its Holding Company. He is chairman of the Effingham County Airport Commission.
Tony has been a partner at Siemer & Fuhr since 1972. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame School of Law in 1969, at which time he joined his uncle, Joseph B. Siemer at the firm of Siemer & Dehn. After Joseph Siemer’s death, Tony merged his practice into our firm, then known as Parker, Parker & Brummer.
Tony is a member of the Effingham County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He has served the Illinois State Bar Association as an Assembly member and on section councils for Banking, Taxation, Business Advice and Financial Planning and Law Office Economics. His practice is focused on Business Law, Commercial & Residential Real Estate, Estate Planning, Eminent Domain and litigation related to these areas.
Ron joined Siemer & Fuhr in 1984, immediately following his early graduation from Southern Illinois University School of Law. He not only graduated in just 2 1/2 years, he earned cum laude honors distinction as well. He was privileged to serve as the Editor of the Southern Illinois Law Journal for 1983.
Ron received his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University in 1977.
Ron is a member of the Effingham County, Illinois State and American Bar Assocations. His section memberships in the Illinois State Bar Association include Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Law. Ron’s practice areas include Commercial Law, Bankruptcy, Insurance Defense and general litigation. He has been on the Board for the Effingham County Community Concert Series.
Ron and his wife, Kathy, reside in Effingham. They have three children, Clayton, Andrew and Cars.
